Privacy and data
What the barcode generator does with your input (nothing leaves the page), what analytics records, and a button that clears what this site stored in your browser.
The short version: what you type into the generator never reaches us, and what we do collect is ordinary web analytics, described below without euphemisms.
What the generator does with your input
Nothing leaves your browser. The symbology tables, the check-digit arithmetic, the QR encoder and the PDF writer are JavaScript files served from this domain and run on your machine. Product codes, CSV files you paste or upload, and the images and PDFs you download are produced locally and are never transmitted to BatchBarcodes. We keep no copy because we never receive one.
What we do collect
This site uses Yandex Metrica (counter 111508611) for traffic statistics. It records the pages you open, the address you arrived from, your approximate location, your browser and screen size, and your IP address. Session Replay is switched on. That means scrolling, pointer movement, clicks and changes on the page are recorded and can later be watched back as a video-like replay of the visit. Click Map is on as well, which sends an event for every click. This is a deliberate choice, not an oversight: it is how we find out which parts of the tool people get stuck on. Nothing about it is hidden from you here.
The analytics script loads as soon as the page does — there is no consent gate. If that is not acceptable to you, a content blocker or your browser’s tracking protection will stop it, and the generator keeps working without it.
Server logs record requests in the usual way: address, time, status code, browser string and IP. They are used for diagnosing faults and for security.
The contact form sends your message and, if you supply one, your e-mail address, to the address behind info@batchbarcodes.com. We use it to answer you and for nothing else.
Advertising
The site is funded by advertising rather than by subscriptions, which is why the download is not behind a sign-up. Ad networks set their own cookies and may personalise what they show using them. When advertising is live, the network in use will be named here.
What is stored in your browser
Cookies and local storage from this domain hold small things such as whether you have dismissed the notice bar. Analytics sets its own. Here is what is present right now, and a button that clears all of it:
Your requests
Write to info@batchbarcodes.com to ask what we hold about you, to have it deleted, or to object to analytics. Since we hold no account and no code you have generated, in practice such a request concerns correspondence and analytics records only.
